Associated Signs & Symptoms
Splenomegaly is a sign of a disease and is not considered a health condition by itself. As such, each entity that causes splenomegaly often leads to additional signs and symptoms. Accompanying signs and symptoms of splenomegaly include:
1) Abdominal discomfort

It is usually described as vague discomfort instead of actual pain. It is sometimes located on the left upper quadrant of the abdomen, but some patients will have radiated pain located in the left shoulder. It can be associated with tenderness during the physical exam.
