Several different types of hernias, occurring in different areas of the body can present various symptoms. One of which includes burning sensation in the chest or heartburn. Stomach acid and food contents from the stomach regurgitate back into the esophagus and cause inflammation of the esophageal lining. This will further lead to a burning sensation that feels remarkably like heartburn.
