2) ARBs

ARBs, or Angiotensin Receptor Blockers, are another class of antihypertensive medications that act in a similar way to ACE inhibitors. They include medications like Valsartan, Olmesartan, and Candesartan. The main advantage they have over ACE inhibitors is that they do not cause dry cough and can be used in those suffering from chronic asthma.
Both ACE inhibitors and ARBs are not suitable for patients with severe kidney damage as those undergoing dialysis. Both of them are also used in all patients with heart failure.
