Tuna

We have all bought canned tuna, and it is a versatile and affordable option. But if you can, buy the real thing and prepare tuna yourself. There are two types of tuna: Skipjack tuna and Albacore tuna. They both have much protein but also vitamin B12. As such, it is a suitable food to maintain your hemoglobin levels. It also contains omega 3 fatty acids and lowers cholesterol levels.

100 grams of tuna contains a bit more than 28 grams of protein. It is another lean source of protein. One of the things you need to know is that some tuna sources contain mercury. So, try to avoid canned tuna, and if you buy it, go for Skipjack tuna or light tuna instead of white (Albacore) tuna.
