Risk Factors of HPV

Infections caused by HPV commonly occur, the risk factors for HPV
- Age: Common warts caused by human papillomavirus HPV occur most commonly in children and adults. Genital warts are most common in young adults and adolescents.
- Compromised immune system:
- People having a compromised immune system are at greater risk of infection caused by HPV. Patients are suffering from HIV/ AIDS immune system suppressant drugs after the transplantation of organs.
- Damage and punctured skin
- The skin area is opened and damaged, and the skin is more prone to warts.
- Physical interaction
You can get infected with warts if you have touched someone else’s warts, even if you feel the surface infected with HPV without any protection. Using public showers and swimming pools may increase your risk of getting infected with HPV.
