How to Prevent Oropharyngeal Cancer Caused by HPV

The HPV vaccine has been developed to avoid cervical and genital cancers caused by HPV n HPV vaccine protects against different variants of HPV that may cause oropharyngeal cancer. CDC has recommended the HPV vaccination for 11-12 years old. Vaccination is recommended for 26 years senior adults if you are not been vaccinated before.

If you are above 27 years old, you should consult your doctor before vaccinating for HPV infection. HPV vaccine may not be beneficial for aged people as they might have been exposed to HPV before. The HPV vaccine can prevent infection in the future, but it can not treat existing conditions or diseases.
