HPV Vaccine

Gardasil 9 vaccine is approved by U.S. Food and Drug Administration authority against HPV. This vaccine is most effective against the most common human papillomavirus HPV 6,11,16, and 18. It is also effective and provides safety against 31,33,45,52 and 58 strains of HPV. Gardasil 4 is available in the U.S. until 2017. This vaccine is available for the most common strains of HPV.

Cervarix is not available in the U.S. It protects against 16 and 18 types of HPV, but it is available in other countries. Vaccination is done in the course of three shots in six months. For maximum prevention from HPV, you should get all three vaccine shots. Children who get their vaccine before 15 can get only 2 images in 12 months.
