Use and Choose the Best Oil

Most of us agree that fried food is not the best for your health. It’s true, but we can’t dismiss oil as an enemy of a healthy diet, either. On the contrary, it can be a great ally depending on how we use it. In the Mediterranean diet, olive oil is used more often, which is another tremendous change we can make. Even more important, you need to know how to use it.

Olive oil is used in the Mediterranean diet as a dressing for salads and in the preparation of vinaigrettes. Don’t cook with it. In fact, when cooking with olive oil and taking it to a very high temperature, the configuration of the oil changes and strips off the benefits. As you adjust to a life without frying, you can cook with a variant of olive oil resistant to high temperatures or simply use coconut oil instead of vegetable oils.
