2) Surgical Removal
A scalpel or a pair of surgical scissors are used to remove skin tags. Some moles can be “shaved” down to the skin’s surface. Just because a few moles have cells that penetrate beneath the skin, your doctor may need to make a deeper cut to remove the entire mole and prevent it from regrowing. Stitches could be required after this procedure. The removal of tiny skin tags does not require anesthesia. But removing large or many skin tags may require local anesthesia.
