Neurological symptoms due to deficiency of Vitamin B12
Symptoms in Pediatrics

Vitamin B12 is one of the essential vitamins required by the human body. It affects different systems of humans including the central nervous system. A retrospective, clinical study was done by analyzing 38 children to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis of vitamin B12 deficiency in the light of the enrolled patient characteristics.
Furthermore, records of these patients were referred to the single center of the university of hospital outpatient child neurology clinic. The main reason identified was the deficiency of vitamin B12. They further concluded the age-oriented factors as those patients in the range of 0 to 18 years appear symptoms of dizziness, convulsion, syncope, hypotonia, tremor, developmental retardation, tingling sensation, ataxia, paresthesia, fatigue, blurring of vision, and difficulty in concentration. These symptoms were categorized in the study.
