The small case series and case studies have revealed that mucocutaneous changes occur due to deficiency of vitamin B12. The frequencies of vitamin B12 deficiency are categorized as hyperpigmentation occurred in 49 patients out of 57 approximately 85.96%, atrophic glossitis in 40 (70.17%), skin lesions particularly diaper dermatitis in 8 patients, and brittle and matt hair in 13 patients (22.08%), enrolled in the study. These statistics were provided by the pediatrics outpatient clinic of Harran and Yuzunuc Yil University Faculty of Medicine, prospectively.
