Clinical Symptoms of Vitamin B12 Deficiency: Oral Manifestations

The most common disorders resulting from the deficiency of vitamin B12 or cobalamin. The clinical symptoms include shortness of breath, fatigue, weakness, and neurologic abnormalities.
Furthermore, oral symptoms include glossitis, recurrent oral ulcer, angular cheilitis, oral candidiasis, pale oral mucosa, and diffuse erythematous mucositis. Early diagnosis plays an important role in the prevention of neurological signs and symptoms.
