Abdominal Pain
This symptom is also essential, especially in advanced cases of liver damage. Liver-related abdominal pain is usually located below the ribcage on the right side. This area is known as the right hypochondriac quadrant of the abdomen, and pain in this area is generally caused by liver damage, gallbladder problems, and problems in the small intestine, or the right kidney.
Liver pain is typically dull and difficult to trace because the organ does not have nerve endings. The sensation relies on receptors found in the inner covering of the abdomen. Thus, a case of lingering abdominal pain located in the upper right side of the abdomen should be evaluated by a doctor to rule out any liver or bowel-related causes.
