Tissue fragments in the urine
This symptom is not the most common, but it should raise your suspicions if you have it. It might account for early symptoms for those who report this problem, and it happens because the tumor is growing in the interior portion of the urinary bladder and it is releasing tissue fragments to the lumen.
Tissue fragments are often present in the urine, but they are rarely visible without a microscope. The urine should never contain this or any type of debris, and it is important to report this symptom to your doctor right away. It may be bladder cancer or another benign problem, including kidney stones and urinary infections.
