Alcoholism; Am I An Alcoholic? Do I Have A Drinking Problem?

Do I have drinking problems?

If you are asking yourself that question, it could be because you feel that the habit of drinking alcohol is getting out of control. Or it is maybe because you are actually experiencing uncomfortable symptoms.

In some cases, people measure their drinking problems based on the type of beverage they drink. They think that drinking wine is not a problem. We’re covering these topics one by one.

First

We need to clarify the myth that wine is a safe alcoholic drink. The only reason why wine is sometimes not listed as a harmful beverage is that it has a flavonoid called resveratrol, which attenuates a bit the cardiovascular consequences of drinking.

But at the end of the day, 5 ounces of wine has the same alcohol amount as 12 ounces of beer and approximately the same as a shot of liquor. Despite having flavonoids, the consequences of alcohol will be the same if you drink wine. Thus, eat grapes instead of drinking wine if you’re mainly after the benefits of resveratrol.
