Pelvic, Low Back or Appendix Pain

Continuous pain in the pelvis, appendix area or lower back is considered another important symptom of cervical cancer because pains in these areas are linked to the reproductive organs. The pelvic pain close to appendix area usually happens when cancer is in advanced stages. This symptom is actually difficult to be considered related to cervical cancer because women in their menstruation period feel the same pain from the cramps which also radiates out over the region of the pelvis. As pelvic pain itself cannot be taken as a warning sign for cervical cancer, it is regarded as a symptom when cervical cancer becomes advanced. Therefore, the only thing to worry about is to see when it combines with the above-mentioned symptoms. However, if pain becomes more intense and lasts for a longer duration, it can be a warning symptom of cervical cancer.
According to MayoClinic, persistent abdominal pain and discomfort including indigestion, pressure, gas, cramps and bloating is a signal for ovarian cancer, while a consistent pelvic pain may be a sign of endometrial cancer. As pelvic pain is interlinked with various cancers of the reproductive organs, it is difficult for you to access the origin of pain. Therefore, you should get yourself checked immediately regarding the abnormal or prolonged pelvic pain, particularly if it is associated with other symptoms of cervical cancer.
