What foods to avoid in fatty liver disease?
Generally speaking, all foods containing saturated fats should be reduced to a minimum or better avoided such as:
- Full-fat cheese
- Red meat
- Food rich in palm oil and baked packaged foods
- Items rich in sugar, since glucose is converted to cholesterol in our bodies. Put as little sugar as you can in your tea and coffee and avoid desserts after meals. Your taste buds are accustomed to sugar, but once you start cutting it, you won’t feel as if the food is lacking any.
