Types of Folliculitis
Folliculitis comes in a variety of forms. Folliculitis has two main types:
- Superficial folliculitis.
- Deep folliculitis.
The superficial form affects only a portion of the follicle, but the deep type affects the entire follicles and is usually more severe.
First, Kinds of Superficial Folliculitis
1) Bacterial folliculitis

Is a type of superficial folliculitis. White, itchy, and pus-filled pimples are characterized in this kind. It happens when bacteria, generally Staphylococcus aureus, infect hair follicles (staph). Staph bacteria are always present on the skin. However, they usually only create issues when a cut gives them a clear way into your body.
