I haven’t personally met a child who dislikes sweets and candies. Quite the opposite, and most parents struggle to make them eat healthier foods. But maybe all they need is a bit of creativity and the right type of recipes. But what about snacks? Potato chips and muffins are tempting for children, but what about veggies? Is there a way to reverse this trend?
In this article, we’re bringing you a comprehensive list of healthy (and tasty) snacks for kids. You can also use the colors of different food types to make them attractive visually. So dive in, if you follow instructions and try different recipes, you will definitely find one that your children like!
Without further ado, here is a list of kid-friendly healthy snacks:
1. Homemade Honey Grahams

Crackers and honey Grahams are not precisely the first thing that comes to mind when discussing healthy foods. But that is because what you buy in the supermarket is filled with all kinds of undesirable ingredients. You can cut all of them out by making them in your oven, and it doesn’t take much time. They are less expensive, less processed, and kids love them!
Just be sure to prepare them with 1 cup of whole wheat flour mixed with ¾ of a cup of all-purpose flour. We also recommend using wheat germ, baking soda, and baking powder. You can use honey and a bit of salt to give it the right taste, and maybe a bit of dark brown sugar. But it is even better and healthier if you can do without sugar.
