Fatigue
Patients with hepatitis B feel fatigued regardless of the stage of the disease. In the acute phase, it is because the immune system is fighting against the disease and reducing the available energy. In the chronic phase of the disease, it is because of the multiple metabolic changes in liver function. This symptom can be perceived differently in each patient, and some of them have very severe somnolence, sleep pattern disturbances, and sometimes mental confusion. It is imperative to look for professional help in such cases because the liver has likely undergone progressive disease that may end up in hepatic encephalopathy and coma.
