Top 35 High-Fiber Foods to Help Your Digestive Health

16) Pomegranate Seeds

Pomegranate is one of the most important sources of antioxidants. It has even more powerful antioxidants than blueberries, regarded as one of the most important free radical scavengers. Still, it does not only have polyphenols. Pomegranate seeds are also packed with dietary fiber, making this fruit an exciting option to boost your immunity and your gut health at the same time. Moreover, pomegranate has been shown to shrink adipocytes, contributing to weight loss.

You will get around 5.6 grams of fiber in ½ a pomegranate. You can eat these seeds fresh, but it is better in recipes, including stuffed chili, compotes, and much more. Pomegranate juice is also very popular, but we don’t recommend this preparation if you want to get the total share of fiber these seeds contain.
