The human papillomavirus is of the most common viruses that are sexually transmitted and can cause cervical and genital warts. Human papillomavirus HPV vaccines ate 99% effective against the prevention of cervical cancer caused by 16 and 18 strains of HPV. Research is ongoing on including the HPV vaccine as part of mandatory vaccination.
