Liver Biopsy; Indications, Contraindications, Preparing and Procedure

What happens after a liver biopsy?

After we’re done with the liver biopsy, you will likely remain in observation for a few hours. This time is taken to recover from sedation and evaluating the outcome of the procedure.

You can go home if there is no bleeding, bile leak, or significant pain requiring an extra analgesic dose.
