8) Lethargy

This is a more pronounced fatigue caused by alterations in the central nervous system. In this case, patients are not only tired all the time, but they also have alterations in consciousness and become hyporesponsive to external stimuli.

Lethargy only arises in complicated malaria cases, where the disease starts affecting the central nervous system. The same patients may also develop seizures and enter a comatose state if not adequately treated.
