Malaria; Causes, Symptoms, Prevention & Treatment

9) Nausea and Vomiting

Malaria is not a gastrointestinal tract disease, but many patients develop gastrointestinal symptoms. Nausea and vomiting are the most common and worsen cyclically when fever reaches its threshold. These gastrointestinal symptoms can be very severe and precipitate dehydration and electrolyte imbalances.

Many patients lose weight because they feel sick around food and do not tolerate eating the same volume without nausea. Vomiting is not as expected, and according to studies, it mainly develops in patients with a higher parasitic load.
