Preventative measures

When we talk about preventing skin cancer, people usually think about reducing sun exposure. While this approach is generally true, we should understand there are still other causes of skin cancer we should be aware of. Thus, it is wise to prevent excessive exposure, but we should also inspect our skin regularly, even in areas where you don’t have much sun exposure, register family cases of skin cancer and be prepared to report them to your doctor, and be aware of any risk factor that may be increasing your likelihood of developing this type of cancer.
