4) Immunosuppression:

We have mentioned Kaposi sarcoma as a rare type of cancer in patients with a normal immune system, but prevalent in HIV patients. That is because immunosuppressed patients have a dysfunction in the process of detecting and destroying cancer cells. Our bodies are able to reconstruct themselves and clear out any abnormal cell, but when the immune system is not working properly, and the patient is exposed to the sun, the most important factors are met to promote skin cancer. As an example, we can see how skin cancer becomes 10 times more prevalent in transplant patients who need immune-suppressing therapy to prevent transplant rejection.
