Side Effects of Cryosurgery
Cryotherapy may leave a mark on the skin of dark-colored people. It may form a blister on the skin or may hurt. Scar formation and discoloration of the tissue are reported. If you have diabetes and have diabetic foot or any peripheral vascular disorder, you should not undergo cryotherapy to treat warts. This method may lead to nerve damage or slow down wounds’ healing.
Wart removal pens are also available at the pharmacy, and you can use them to treat warts at home. But these pens do not contain cold nitrogen, and they are less effective than cryotherapy. The Food and Drug Administration US regulatory authority warned that these warts removal pens might include inflammable chemicals and cause burning on usage.
