Treatment for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
There are a number of Carpal Tunnel treatment options available which may be taken in conjunction with each other or separately. These include Physiotherapy, Medical therapy, and surgical approach.
Physiotherapy

The patient may be asked to visit a physiotherapist. They will be asked to change their habits, particularly those which trigger their symptoms. Since a majority of this movement is required by the patient to make their livelihood, they may be asked to alter the environment in which they work. This includes changing the height of the keyboard where the patient types at their workplace. They may also be educated about their condition and what they can do to improve their symptoms. Since obesity is a major risk factor for Carpal Tunnel, patients are instructed to lose weight as this may also improve their symptoms.
