Abnormal Vaginal Discharge
Another symptom of cervical cancer is the abnormal vaginal discharge which is characterized by smell, color or consistency. However, the unusual discharge may be colorless or odorless in some cases.
- Smell – Unity Point of Health suggested that there is a tendency that cervical cancer cells lack oxygen that results in the die-off of cells and infected tumors. This infection produces a foul-smelling vaginal discharge which can be another warning sign for cervical cancer.
- Color – The continuous vaginal discharge can be watery, brown, and pale or mixed along with blood.
- Consistency – It is usually thick and sticky.
A vaginal discharge is not always a cervical cancer, but it is fact that the strange discharge cannot be normal. Any unusual discharge must be consulted by a gynecologist as soon as possible.
