Red Meats and Poultry

Products like beef and chicken breasts are high in saturated fats from animal sources. This type of fat is technically the same as found in fatty liver disease in human patients.
The digestion of meats is problematic for the digestive system. A study conducted in the Netherlands suggested that a person who eats more animal than vegetable proteins has a 54% more probability of developing fatty liver disease and cirrhosis.
So, don’t forget that red meat consumption is directly associated with other ailments that go along with or worsen the condition in an FLD patient, such as diabetes, insulin resistance, or arterial hypertension.
