Abdominal pain

Stretching tissues causes pain, similar to what you feel when someone pulls your hand violently. There are vagal nerve fibers all around the liver, and some of them are pain receptors. When there’s a liver stretch, and when the organ grows very big, they perceive pain and send the signal to the brain. This pain is located on the abdomen’s upper right quadrant, right where the liver is located. It is often reported as dull and mild to moderate in intensity, but some patients feel more severe pain. They usually have nausea as a predominant symptom, along with abdominal pain.
Abdominal pain is sometimes an alarm sign in hepatitis. So, depending on the case, you may need to undergo additional tests to see whether or not there’s a reason to worry.
