Believe it or not, avocado contains fiber, too. For many years, some of us believed that avocados were mainly fatty acids, which is true. It is the only fruit filled with a significant proportion of healthy fats. But the creamy insides wouldn’t be the same without fiber.
You will get around 3.4 grams of fiber in only ¼ of an avocado. Eat half an avocado, and you will get more dietary fat than eating a pear or an apple. Avocados are pretty versatile, and you can eat them in your salad or mash them with spices to create a cream, sauce, or dip.
