Signs and symptoms

A person infected with Leptospira might have a mild, moderate, or severe case of infection. Usually, the signs are symptoms displayed in humans are as follows:
- High fever (usually 104F) and chills
- Headache and body pains
- Nausea and vomiting
- Jaundice like symptoms (yellow eyes and skin)
- Abdominal pain and diarrhea
- Rashes on the skin
The symptoms are pretty much like flu, so there are chances of the disease being misdiagnosed. Therefore, it is very important to get a blood test with microbial culture to figure out the infection Leptospirosis.
