Leptospirosis in Humans & Dogs | All You Need to Know!

Diet and activity

When a person gets infected by Leptospirosis, the fever usually lasts for the first few days. This is when the body needs complete rest to fight the disease. The patient is advised to keep all sorts of physical activities to a minimum and rest as much as possible to boost the immune system. When a body fights disease in general, it always needs a strong immune system, for which diet is crucial. The patient should consume meat broth, fresh fruits, vegetables, and eggs. The intake of fluids and water should be adequate so that fever can be flushed out quickly. If the patient develops renal problems, the patient should be advised to stop taking protein in the diet.
