Signs and symptoms
Liver cancer is a silent disease, and it usually won’t give out any signs and symptoms. When symptomatic, liver cancer is generally in an advanced stage of the disease. Still, you can have a few early signs and symptoms caused by underlying conditions that lead to hepatocellular carcinoma. Keep watch for the following:
- Jaundice and an itchy skin
- Varices and bleeding
- Swelling of the feet
- Abdominal swelling and pain
- Weight loss and loss of appetite
- Hepatic encephalopathy (neurologic alterations)
