How to Differentiate Sunspots and Melanoma

If you notice new spots in the skin or changes in moles you already have, it is essential to differentiate them from melanoma. Sunspots and melanoma differ greatly from one another, therefore look for the following indicators:

One of the most critical differences between sunspots and melanoma is the symmetric appearance of the lesion. Sunspots and other benign lesions are usually symmetric, round, or ovate. Melanoma adopts different and asymmetric shapes. One side of the lesion can be bigger than the other.
