11) Tempeh

You have probably heard about soy, but it will be something you eat almost every day if you’re vegan or vegetarian. Soy is one of the most useful vegetable proteins in the market and a suitable replacement for meat. Tempeh is a fermented soy product that contains basically the same macronutrients but also has many probiotic strains.
Tempeh is usually accompanied by rice, but you can use other alternatives. Brown rice can be an option in some cases, but if you really want to stay low-carb, we recommend something else. Maybe quinoa and some leafy greens. That way, you will get your share of protein and plenty of micronutrients as well.
