5. Irregular heartbeat
Heart arrhythmia, commonly known to many as irregular heartbeat patterns is one of the most serious problems associated with depletion of magnesium from the body. Although symptoms re mild, they are detrimental when advanced. In the first stages, there may not be any symptoms at all. Other people with extreme cases experience heart palpitations. This means they have pauses between heartbeats. Arrhythmia is evidenced also by lightheadedness, chest pain, gasping for breath, and fainting in extreme cases. When left untreated, this problem escalates into a stroke or heart failure and may cause death. It is important to note that the problem is solvable and treatable by developing a diet.
