Why Do People Snore?
The structure of your mouth and sinuses, drinking habits, being allergic to some triggers in the atmosphere, flu, and increase weight gain are just a few causes of snoring.
The transition period from a light sleep going to falling deeply asleep will cause the muscles in the head and neck to relax such as in the mouth and throat. This relaxation in some people will cause the muscles to fall back and block the airway. For air to escape through the minimal available space will cause the vibration and grumble sound produced.
The following conditions have been traced to cause airway obstruction leading to snoring:
Poor sleeping position: Studies have revealed that lying on the back to sleep causes the airway to be narrowed and reduction in the cavity of the throat causing a loud vibration and grumbling sound in people. This sometimes manifests as very loud snoring in people.
