There are many different gargles you can try when you have a sore throat, and one of them is apple cider vinegar and salt. If you don’t have apple cider vinegar, you can also use regular vinegar, but be careful to blend it with water to avoid burning and irritating your throat from the acidic nature of vinegar.

Apple cider vinegar is recommended because it has powerful antiseptic properties that will contribute to killing bacteria if you have an infection. It will soothe your sore throat and make you feel better almost instantly. The recommended concentration is 8 ounces of water for each teaspoon (not tablespoon) of apple cider vinegar and 2 teaspoons of salt.

If you find the taste too strong, you could try adding a bit of honey, which has anti-inflammatory properties as well.
