Immunotherapy

This treatment method activates the patient’s immune system, which fights warts. It will be effective if other treatments cannot remove the wart. A drug diphencyprone DCP is used in this treatment. An allergic reaction may occur in the skin around warts.
Interferon is also injected in immunotherapy. Immunotherapy involves the intake of zinc supplements 10mg/kg daily. It is an effective treatment as zinc sulfate boosts your immune system. Contact sensitizers are also used as a topical immunotherapy treatment.
The immune system suppresses the complex of contact agent hapten that binds with humans’ viral protein or normal protein, and it causes regression of warts.
