Without enough magnesium in your body, you are at high risk of developing weak bones. Osteoporosis is a condition of porous bones, which are susceptible to fractures with minimal contact. Low magnesium content in daily diets is just one of the many causes of osteoporosis. Others include aging, lack of exercise, and poor intake in vitamin D and K.

Low magnesium levels lead to low blood levels of calcium, which is directly responsible for bone vitality. Without calcium, there are no building blocks to support strong bones hence the eventual weakening of bones. Studies show that depleted magnesium causes reduced bone mass in rats. This is depictive to humans too. Without enough magnesium poor bone health is imminent.
